Bandon, OR
A David McLay Kidd course.
The course
Bandon Dunes opened in 1999 as the founding course of the Bandon Dunes Golf Resort on the southern Oregon coast. Designed by David McLay Kidd, it brought authentic Scottish links golf to the Pacific Northwest, with firm turf, gorse, and holes laid out among natural dunes above the sea. Its success established Bandon as one of the premier walking-golf destinations in the United States.
Signature hole: The par-4 16th runs along the edge of the Pacific bluffs, with the ocean in full view down the right side and the green perched near the cliff's edge.
